SLUM SURVIVOR – The Launch Edinburgh EWB is hosting this year inter-branch event, showcasing international development Workshops and Discussions on Engineering, Education, Community Participation and Intermediate Technology. When: Fri 4th November - Talks and Discussions Sat 5th November – Hands on Workshops Cost: The first day of the event is free for all EWB-UK members to attend. The interactive workshop is £15, this will cover the workshop expenses, accomodation on Friday & Saturday nights, lunch and refreshment. Why: A chance to get your hands dirty and test your knowledge and ideas. Understand some of the complexities in delivering sustainable and appropriate solutions to problems in the developing world. Most of all to have fun and join in your national community of EWB, with members from Glasgow, Strathcylde, Newcastle, Durham and Edinburgh. Places are limited to 10 and these will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Any persons applying after this will be kept on a shortlist, if more places become available.
